QuoteWerks Version 26 Build 3.02 (August 14, 2026)-------------------------------------------------------------- -New: For MS CRM users, users can now do product lookup searches for MS CRM. Any custom product fields you've added will appear as additional lookup columns you can map. -New: For MS CRM users, a new price list setting has been added on the MS CRM Setup window. This will allow you to choose how the price list product prices are pulled from or leave it at the default to use each product's own list price. -New: For Autotask users, the Quote Products setup option controlling how QuoteWerks Grouped Bundles are written to an Autotask quote is now a three-way choice. The setting can be found under Setup -> Opportunities -> Quote Products, "For grouped bundles, create in Autotask:" now offers: a) The individual group items only - each group item is written with its own pricing and no bundle header line is created. This is the default. b) A single summary product only - one line carrying the price of the entire bundle, and no individual group items. c) A summary product plus the individual group items - the bundle header line is written as a $0.00 summary line and the individual group items carry the pricing. -New: For QuickBooks Online Users, the &DH_StatementOfWork Macro is now available to use for the Customer Message and Memo fields when creating Estimates, Invoices, and Sales Receipts. Previously the bundle header line and the individual group items were both written with pricing, and because the header line already carries the price of the entire bundle, Autotask counted the bundle twice and scaled the error by the bundle quantity. The Autotask quote total now matches the QuoteWerks document total in all three of the modes above. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, QuoteWerks Grouped Bundles no longer double the deal total. When the "only create a single summary product" option is unchecked, the bundle header line is now written as a $0.00 summary line and the individual group items carry the pricing. -Fix: For Autotask, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, HaloPSA and Salesforce users, recurring QuoteWerks Grouped Bundles now honor the grouped bundle setting. Previously a recurring Grouped Bundle always wrote both the bundle header line and the individual group items regardless of the setting, doubling the total. -Fix: For SugarCRM, ACT!, ACT! for Web and GreatAmerica Leasing users, recurring QuoteWerks Grouped Bundles no longer double the opportunity total. The recurring bundle header line is now written as a $0.00 summary line and the individual group items carry the pricing. -Fix: For Kaseya BMS and Microsoft Dynamics CRM users, recurring QuoteWerks Grouped Bundles no longer double the opportunity total. Only the bundle header line is written, matching the existing behavior for non-recurring Grouped Bundles. -Fix: For HaloPSA users, Opportunity Details text no longer loses its line breaks and blank lines when quotes are saved or attached to existing opportunities. -Fix: For HaloPSA users, the "All" button in the contact lookup now correctly fills in the State and Country on the ShipTo and BillTo addresses by reading the location's Region/Country from HaloPSA when those values aren't present on the address lines. -Fix: Paste Special no longer pulls in Required Items when the "Apply Required Items" option is unchecked. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, searches now return all matching records instead of stopping at the first 100. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, searching using text from the middle of a company name now finds matches instead of returning no results. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, line items sent to a deal now keep the unique description entered in QuoteWerks instead of reverting to the description already stored in HubSpot. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, re-saving a quote with more than 100 line items no longer leaves the previous line items behind on the deal. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, attachments on deals with a large amount of history can now be found and deleted. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, contact and company searches are significantly faster, particularly for contacts linked to many companies. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, saving and re-saving quotes with a large number of line items is significantly faster. -Fix: For fresh new installations, the SYS_EmailToAVendorContact email template was missing. -Fix: If you clicked on the Vendor RFQ toolbar button on the main toolbar and receive an error, the main toolbar would remain disabled. -Fix: When editing a Management report with the output saving as a CSV, for the Output File, if you did not specify a file extension, the file would be exported with a .txt extension instead of a .csv extension. -Fix: Fixed an issue where the "Request Return Receipt" option was not being applied to outgoing emails, so no read receipt was requested from the recipient. -Fix: Fixed an issue where an automatic Sales Tax Rate Lookup could clear the document's address fields when USPS could not verify the address. -Fix: When a Sales Tax Rate Lookup finds no exact address match and more than one tax jurisdiction exists for the ZIP Code, the Tax Rate Lookup selection window now opens automatically so you can choose the rate, rather than displaying a message asking you to click the Real-time Tax Rate Lookup button on the Sale Info tab. -Fix: For TD Synnex users, placing an electronic order could display an erroneous "PO Number was not found" error because TD Synnex had not yet made the newly placed order available for status retrieval. -Fix: For HaloPSA users, new quotes and sales orders are no longer created with a placeholder line item named QWTEMPITEM. This placeholder was previously required by the HaloPSA API and is no longer needed. -Fix: Calculation issue when a rounding PriceModifier like P25R1 was used. Existing users may need to disconnect and reconnect their QuickBooks Online connection to access the new Custom Fields. This functionality is only available with production QuickBooks Online companies and is not supported in QuickBooks Online sandbox environments. -New: For HaloPSA users, the company lookup (Client Name search) now lists every one of a company's locations including locations that have no contact assigned so all sites are visible and selectable, not just the main one. -New: For HaloPSA users, contacts in the lookup results now show their own site's address instead of the company's main-site address, so a contact at a secondary location shows that location's address. -New: For HaloPSA users, added a setting that controls, when a contact has no address of their own, whether QuoteWerks fills in their address from the company's main record or from the contact's assigned site. This setting can be found under HaloPSA Setup -> Settings -> Other Settings. -Fix: For HaloPSA users, opportunity Details no longer accumulate extra blank lines each time the quote is saved. Refer to https://desktop.quotewerks.com/help/helpfilelatest/startinganewquotefrominsidezohocrm.htm for more information. -Fix: For Salesforce users, contacts that aren't linked to an account now appear in the Sold To/Ship To lookup when searching by Last Name or Phone, instead of showing a match count with no visible results. -Fix: For TD Synnex users, resolved an issue where Unit Cost was incorrectly reset to $0 on the document after placing an online order. The document now retains the cost the order was placed at. QuoteWerks Version 26 Build 2.27 (July 1, 2026)-------------------------------------------------------------- -New: For ConnectWise PSA users, when creating a ConnectWise PSA Agreement from a Won Opportunity, the Site ID from the Opportunity main Site will be copied to the Agreements main Address. From there, you can click "Create Quote for Pipedrive Deal" to generate a new QuoteWerks quote. You can choose whether the address comes from the Deal, a Person, or an Organization, and you may optionally map custom Pipedrive fields into QuoteWerks address fields. QuoteWerks Version 26 Build 2.00 (January 23, 2026)-------------------------------------------------------------- -New: Microsoft SQL Server version 17 is now supported! -New: 'Sage 50 Accounting 2026' AKA 'Peachtree' is now supported! -New: All windows will now open on the form that their parent form is located on. The only exception is certain menu items from the layout designer will always display on the main monitor. -New: There is now a new Misc.Windows tab under Tools->My Preferences. Here you can choose for specific windows if you want the last location of that window to be remembered (the location and which monitor it was on), so that it will open up in the same location as it previously was. This is available for the following windows, Main Window, Open Document Window, Product Lookup Window, Email Templates Window, Bundles Window, Configurations Window, Configurator Window, Sales Tax Manager Window, Compare Prices Window, Dashboard Window, and Purchasing Window. -New: There is now a [Single Monitor Mode] toolbar button on the Main toolbar. In today's PC environment it is common to have more than one monitor. QuoteWerks has the ability now to make efficient use of this multiple monitor environment. For example, it is advantageous to have the Product Lookup window open on a different monitor than the monitor that the main Quote WorkBook is on, that way you fully see and interact with both windows at the same time. This is a very useful feature until you remote into this machine using a remote control software like SplashTop where you might only have one monitor at home while remoting into your work computer in the office that has 3 monitors. In this scenario, when the product lookup window opens on a different monitor you would not see it until you used SplashTop to switch to that monitor to see it. This is very counter-productive. To solve this issue, we now have the "Single Monitor Mode", so when you remote in, just click the main toolbar button and all windows will open on the same monitor that the main QuoteWerks window is on. If you never want any window locations to be remembered, you can simply specify that on the Misc.Windows tab under Tools->My Preferences, in which case you would never need to use the Single Monitor Mode when remoting in. -New: For QuickBooks Online Users, when exporting QuoteValet payments to QuickBooks Online, there are mappings for CustomPaymentType1 and CustomPaymentType2 in addition to the existing payment methods like VISA, AMEX, and WireTransfer. -New: In a Management report when exporting to a file there is now a DocumentHeaders.AlternateCurrencyIdentifier field. -New: Added new document default for CustomMemo05 under Tools->Options, under the Documents.Custom Memo tab. -New: Improved Microsoft Graph email authentication by updating consent handling and token validation to ensure reliable Send-As support for shared mailboxes, prompting users for required permissions when missing and preventing silent failures during email sends. -New: You can now search by the Category field in a Multiple Database Search only returning results for Native product databases. -Misc: For Power users that move very fast in QuoteWerks, when Unloading/Closing a document, now checking to see if in the middle of a save or auto-save process. This may be the cause of the infamous GetActiveSheet() Error. -Misc: For QuickBooks Online Users with the US Advanced Sales Tax Enabled, QuoteWerks now checks your tax setup before exporting a document to QuickBooks Online. If the integration is not configured to use QuickBooks? automatic sales tax calculation, QuoteWerks will notify you and cancel the export to prevent incorrect tax data from being sent to QuickBooks Online. -Misc: Removed the Submit a Question feature from the main QuoteWerks window. -Misc: Added more debugging information in the error message about "Error in GetActiveSheet". -Fix: For Act for Web users, when searching for a contact some results could return an "Index was outside the bounds of the array" error message. -Fix: When copying data from the newest version of Excel where a cell's text had a soft return like SHIFT-ENTER, this was not being respected by the QuoteWerks Paste Special. -Fix: For QuickBooks Online Users, when creating new items in QuickBooks Online from a Purchase Order (PO), QuoteWerks no longer displays an incorrect ?bad data detected? message. The message was shown in error and did not indicate an actual problem. This issue only affected PO-based item creation and did not occur when creating items from other document types, such as invoices. -Fix: If a document was configured to use the USA Advanced Sales Tax calculations, but did not yet choose a shipping location and get real time tax data, then would display an error when click on the [tax info] button on the Document Items tab of the Quote WorkBook. -Fix: For Autotask users, products with trailing spaces or line returns in the Product Name or MPN were not being found during quote line item creation, causing existing Autotask products to be recreated as duplicates. -Fix: When windows were loaded and centered on their parent window, if the child window was taller than the parent window, depending upon the location of the parent window on the monitor, it could result in the top of the child window being position above the top of the monitor. -Fix: The non-resizable, non memorized windows should always open on the same monitor as the main QuoteWerks window. These windows are Deliver, Lookup Contact, Export To QuickBooks, QuickBooks Desktop Setup, Peachtree Setup, Export to Peachtree, License Manager, License Manager, Edit Line Attributes, Options, Exchange Rates, Customer Profiles, Select Macro, User Preferences, User Maintenance, User Properties, Approval Settings, and Setup Contact Manager. -Fix: The resizable memorized windows would not open on the monitor they were supposed to. If the option of "Do not remember window location" then the window should open up on the same monitor as the main QuoteWerks window. If this was not set, then the window should open on the last monitor and position it was in. These windows are Bundles, Configurations, Configurator, Purchasing, Send Email, F2 Lookup, Product Lookup, Compare Prices, Select Email Address, Zoom Window, and Dashboards -Fix: The first time QuoteWerks is run, and the first time each memorized window was opened, it may not have opened on the same monitor as the main QuoteWerks window. -Fix: The general InputBox dialog has been updated to make sure the dialog opens on the same monitor as the window that launched it. It is used in the following areas: file delete, recall qv reasons, enter web page, ClarityWerks topic, add linked resource, edit file link, bundles, new edit clone, Configurations clone new, substitution sets clone, delete vendor contact, QuickBooks Desktop setup, License Manager redeem code, Edit Configuration Find, QuickBooks Export Find, Peachtree Export Find, Paste Special Add field expression, Edit Menu Item Preview, QuoteValet dashboard retrieve document and import, inbox item recall, Email Templates, snippet clone, new, template clone, template new, workbook, QuoteValet tab, recall, purchasing, vendor rfq add item, purchase orders change ETA, PO Items, change distributor so number, change eta, change ship via, Copy Special, Edit tracking number, add tracking number, Edit serial number, add serial number, edit comment, add comment, Settings Manager: Copy Set Command, Serial Numbers More: Edit, Create Section Header Line, Create Heading Line, RFQ Item delete. -Fix: For USA Advanced Sales tax users, converting a document, for example, from a Quote to an Order, with the option to preserve the existing document would cause runtime error 91. -Fix: When using the Essential, Balanced, Pinnacle edition of QuoteWerks and tried to use the Peachtree integration from Desktop, would erroneously receive the message " The Peachtree contact manager integration is only available in the Professional, and Corporate Editions of QuoteWerks." QuoteWerks Version 26 Build 1.03 (December 11, 2025)-------------------------------------------------------------- -New: For Ingram Micro Online Ordering users, added support for new LineStatus of "Delivered". -New: For HubSpot users, you will now be notified about negative line items added to a HubSpot Opportunity. Currently HubSpot does not have a way to add negative line item amounts. -Fix: For QuoteWerks Desktop Users that are also using QuoteWerks Web, the QuoteWerks Web icon was not appearing on the main Toolbar. -Fix: If a product with Customer Price Level pricing was on the quote and a blank customer profile was selected, would receive an errant error about Duplicate Customer Price Profile records. -Fix: For Advanced Sales Tax users, when deleting an ItemType using the F2Lookup launched from certain areas would not run code to detect its mapping to a Sales Tax Category. Line item level taxes meaning that some line items can have different tax rates and rules than other line items. On the Document Items tab, there is a"Item Tax Summary" column will show you the individual taxes calculated for each jurisdiction for each line item similar to this "TotalTax=$2,245.00 on $37,000.00: [MotorVehicle] FL (@ 6% TaxTable)=$2,220.00,ORANGE (Single Article $0 to $5,000 @ 0.5% TaxTable)=$25.00". There is a Tax button on the Document Items grid toolbar that will show all the details of the sales tax calculations. The choice of which Sales Tax calculation system to use is set under the Regional tab of the Tools->Options menu. The detailed setup for the USA Advanced Sales Tax system is setup through the Utilities->Sales Tax Manager menu. The developer can also make use of the fields: DocumentItems.ItemTaxSummary, DocumentItems.ItemTaxData. The distinction of "USA/UK" in the new tax system of "USA/UK API Generic Integration (Y/N)" is really only related to the line item tax codes bring Y/N in the USA/UK vs the Canadian tax line item tax codes being B/G/P/N. This updated integration functionality includes (1) In the XML API for Ingram Micro, Order Types could not be combined (such as orders that required end user information and those that did not). You can significantly speed up the creation of print output and QuoteValet uploads by not using unnecessarily large images. Often images native size can be 10 inches wide which gets resized visually by the software to only 2 inches wide on the screen, but the file data itself is for 10 inches. The solution is to resize the file to be closer to the actual size you want and then use that which will increase your performance. -Fix: If you clicked on the Zoom button next to a Memo field and then displayed the Text Library and then clicked on the New button to create a new text library value, a large and small value text box would appear when only one should appear. -Fix: Under the Tools->Options menu, on the Documents.General tab, if the Due Date and Expires days fields were originally blank, the were now defaulting to 0 instead of blank, causing issues. This setting is on the General Tab of the QuoteValet Setup. -New: Replace has been added to the Edit->Find feature. You can select the Edit->Find menu (or press CTRL-F) which launches the find window and sets the Find Column to which will search all the columns. While on that window you can choose to just search a single column. Alternatively, you can CTRL click on the column heading to search that specific column. You can search for things like, search for lines with a profit margin less than 10, search for lines with an empty cell, search for dates greater than specified date. When the search is run, it will find and highlight the first match, then you can successively press the [Find Next] button to highlight the next match. As matches are found, this is also a great opportunity to press the highlight button to set a highlight color for the row the match is on. -New: You can now clone Required Items, Optional Items, and Substitute Items. -New: The Expires field (ExpirationDate) on the Sale Info tab of the Quote Workbook now contains a time portion. This is useful for specifying that a quote expires at 5pm on a certain day. This changed is also supported in QuoteValet. You can specify the default expiration number of days and time on the Documents.General tab under Tools->Options menu. In the time text box if you enter, for example, +5:35 then it will add 5 hrs and 35 minutes to the current time. Without a + symbol the time will be a fixed time. -New: Text Library. For Memo fields, the F2lookup now lets you store a text library of large chunks of text that are searchable enabling you to easily compose your statements of work, terms and other text intensive composition. Additionally the F2lookup now has a separate column that can contain a description of the value for reference purposes. As a result of these changes you no longer need to use the //in the F2Lookup value to include a description, but when importing a list of values from the F2lookup window you can use the // to import the description for the value. The F2Lookup can do more than store static text. See the help file about these F2 Lookup functions: SALESFORCE_MACRO, QW_MACRO, RUNAPPANDRETURNCLIPBOARD, REQUESTDDEVALUE. -New: Data Manager for Advanced Import, Export, and Mass updating under the Utilities->Data Manager menu. You can now Import/Export Bundles, Configurations, Required Items, Optional Items, Substitute Items (BCROS). You can also Import/Export Contacts and Vendors. Then you reverse the process and Import this file. No mapping is required. The option to backup your data before the Import is available (and highly recommended). This is an advanced feature that you must be very careful with. In addition exporting data, changing it in Excel, and then importing the changes, you can also just export out a formatted CSV file that only has the column headings in it so that you can enter new data to import. You can do this with Bundles, Configurations, Required Items, Optional Items, and Substitute Items. Import and Export activities are recorded in the Event Log for audit trail tracking. The use of the Data Manager is restricted to users with MasterRights and also the Misc Access Rights of "NonMasterRightsUser_CanExportFromDataManager", and "NonMasterRightsUser_CanImportFromDataManager". All the BCROS entities now have RecGUID, CreatedOn, and LastModifiedOn fields making it easy to see which records were recently imported in case you made a mistake when importing new records you know which records you would need to delete to undo your error. -New: The Data Manager also has a Mass Update tab. Currently you can use this to increase prices by a percentage for all Fixed Price products in a Native product database. -New: On the Flowchart tab of the Edit Configuration window there is now a [Find] button. This will do a contains search of the Selection Container Names. When a match is found, it will ensure the node is visible, highlight it in yellow, and ask if you would like to find the next occurrence. You can also press CTRL-F to initiate the Find. -New: Purchase Orders now have a POConfirmed field. Often customers email a purchase order to a Vendor, but have not yet received confirmation of the receipt of the purchase order from their vendor. There is also a "Non-Confirmed POs" filter on the Purchase Orders tab of the Purchasing window so you can easily see which Purchase Orders have not been confirmed so you can ping the vendor about it. -New: PO Items now have an ETADate field so that you have a place to store and stay on top of the Estimated Time of Arrival of the Purchase Order items as your vendor gives you updates. To manage this field, there is now a right click "Update PO ETA..." for a Purchase Order. This will update the ETA date to the same date for all the items in the PO. For more granular control, the right click menu for a PO Item, has a "Change ETA.." menu. With this you can update the ETA date for and individual PO Item. You can use this to email status information about the purchase order internally. The HTML template and email can be fully customized and including tracking and serial numbers. On the E-Mail Template Manager window, there is a new button [Edit SYS_PurchasingInternalPOStatus HTML]. Additionally on the Templates tab, under the owner of (System) there is a new email template of "SYS_EmailPurchasingPOInternalStatus". -New: On the Purchase orders tab of the Purchasing window, there is a new right click menu "E-mail PO status to customer(s)...". You can use this to email status information to your customers about the items ordered for them on the Purchase Order. The HTML template and email can be fully customized and including tracking and serial numbers. On the E-Mail Template Manager window, there is a new button [Edit SYS_PurchasingCustomerOrderStatus HTML]. Additionally on the Templates tab, under the owner of (System) there is a new email template of "SYS_EmailPurchasingCustomerOrderStatus". Since your Purchase Orders can contain items from different customers, this feature will send each of those customers status updates on only their items on the Purchase order related to them. There is also a grid toolbar button for this action in addition to the right click menu. -New: On the Purchase orders tab of the Purchasing window, building on the new right click menu "E-mail PO status to customer(s)...", there is a toolbar button "E-mail PO status to customer(s) for all updated POs". This is very powerful. With this you can update ETA dates, and receive inventory of multiple Purchase Orders, and when you click this button emails will be sent out to all customers that are affected by the PO changes you made since the last time you clicked this button! This is a huge time saver and reduces many of the "where is my order?" type of questions you receive by email and phone from your customers. -New: The Tools->Export Items to Excel menu will now format the Excel columns with the data type that the data is. Previously, all the columns were just formatted as "General". -New: For Product Content Subscribers, there is a new checkbox on the Product Content Subscription tab of the Real-time Setup Window labeled "Do Not Download Product Images from Etilize". This option is helpful for those users that do not include Etilize Pictures on their quotes and proposals. If this option is checked, when retrieving an Etilize products, the Etilize picture will not be downloaded. This will save network space and time retrieving products from Etilize for those users. -New: On the E-Mail Template Manager window, on the Templates tab, under the owner of (System) there is a new email template of "SYS_EmailDistributorNonStandardPricing" enabling you to customize the email that is sent after an Online Order when you have specified non-standard or discount pricing that you have previously negotiated with your distributor sales rep. -New: The Tools->Export Items to Excel menu will now format the Excel columns with the data type that the data is. Previously, all the columns were just formatted as "General". -New: SoldToEmail, ShipToEmail, and BillToEmail columns are now included in the Open Document window results grid. This is useful for doing a search and then exporting the list to your favorite email blasting service to send out notifications to your customers or leads. Examples like which customers purchased an HP server in the last year and send them an email about a new limited time discount. Or which customers have you sent a quote to in the last 6 months, etc. -New: When looking for a field or macro to insert into a layout, insert into a email template, insert into a text box, select as a filter field, etc there is now a lookup button that you can click on to do a contains search to quickly locate the field that you are looking for. -New: The times stored in the QuoteWerks databases and dtf files were always stored in the local time. Starting with v23 the date/time values (including the AddOnDate01) stored in the database will always be stored in UTC time. For most users they will not have to do anything differently. If you externally read or write to the QuoteWerks database directly you will need to account for this change in UTC time. If you use the QuoteWerks API, when reading a value it will be in local time, and you can pass local time into the API, the conversion to UTC only happens at the instant of the time value being saved into the database. In the v6.0 upgrade all time values in the databases will be changed from local to UTC. -New: The CustomDate fields could store a time component, but when exiting the field, QuoteWerks would always format as a date, stripping out the time. Now, if there is a time component in the CustomDate, it will be preserved. -New: Management Reports now have a Category field to make it easier to organize different types of reports. -New: Management Reports now track LastModified, LastModifiedBy, CreatedOn, and CreatedBy so you know who created and last modified your reports. -New: Various backups (like when importing products, etc) are now stored in the \QuoteWerks\Backups folder. Each day a backup is made a new folder will be created in the \Backups folder like "2022-09-25", and then any backup files created that day will be stored in that folder. The file name will contain the data type and the time in UTC 24 hour format. For a SQL backend, the backup feature for contact and vendors import now stores the backup data in the \Backups folder as (described above ) which is in a different location and format that previously used. If is the Access backend, the backup is saved as contacts.b01, vendors.b01, etc. -New: Added a button on the 'Other Realtime' tab of the Real-time Setup to Collapse or Expand the List of Other Real-time Vendors, making it easier to navigate to the vendor you are looking for in the long list. -New: In the Settings Manager, you can now control the height of the rows on the Document Items tab per user. The range is 285 to 1425. The default is a single row at 285. The setting is UserSettings\UserConfig\QuoteSheetRowHeight=285 -New: For Autotask users, Products will now map over the Period attribute from QuoteWerks. -New: Added support for new SYNNEX warehouse "Chicago, IL". -Misc: The "E-mail tracking number(s)..." right click menu for a Purchase Order has been removed as the new right click menus of "E-mail Internal PO status..." and "E-mail PO status to customer(s)..." are more robust and both include the tracking information. The PO Item right click "E-mail tracking number(s)..." has also been removed for the same reason. -Misc: The SalesLogix Integration has been discontinued in QuoteWerks v23 (November 2022). You can continue using the SalesLogix integration with QuoteWerks as long as you do not update to QuoteWerks version 23 or higher. -Misc: The Report definition .rcf files have been moved into a Reports table (stored in the REPORTS.MDB database if access backend). This was a necessary step for reports to be accessible in QuoteWerks Web. Since the RCF file data is now in a database, you cannot simply attach an RCF file to send to QuoteWerks technical support, or to receive reports from technical support. This feature is available on the toolbar above the SoldTo, ShipTo, and BillTo areas of the Quote WorkBook. There is also an Access Right "CannotCreateCRMContact" that you can set if you do not want specific users to be able to use this feature. -New: For salesforce.com users, discount line items will now be included in Opportunities. -New: For MS CRM users, when using Data Links, custom ListType fields now return the Name field instead of the numeric Value. -Fix: For Zoho CRM users, the Access token information was not being saved if a user created a new Access Token on the Manage User Access window and proceeded to click Cancel on the Zoho CRM Setup window. -Fix: For Zoho CRM users, clearing a user's credentials and opening up the Zoho CRM Setup window will display an error. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, the Access token information was not being saved if a user created a new Access Token on the Manage User Access window and proceeded to click Cancel on the HubSpot CRM Setup window. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, clearing a user's credentials and opening up the HubSpot CRM Setup window will display an error. -Fix: For MS CRM users, negative Unit Price line items were being added into MS CRM quotes in the Discount field. -Fix: For Autotask users, the 'Show Autotask Inventory On Hand' feature on the Product Lookup right click menu was not returning results if there was only 1 warehouse with inventory. -Fix: For MS CRM users, the Macro Tester was not working for Account datalink fields. -Fix: For QuoteWerks users, when the Complete of Opportunity from QuoteWerks setting is set to 'Never', the Opportunity was not being saved when the Quote was being Converted to Order or Invoice. -Fix: When importing some Tech Data Excel quotes, the promo pricing was not populating the Notes field. -Fix: When the Complete of Opportunity from QuoteWerks setting is set to 'Never', the Opportunity was not being saved when the Quote was being Converted to Order or Invoice. -Fix: When importing some Tech Data Excel quotes, the promo pricing was not populating the Notes field. QuoteWerks Version 5.7 Build 2.14 (February 23, 2022)-------------------------------------------------------------- -New: The Tools->Refresh Item Details now supports updating the UnitCost, UnitPrice, UnitList, CostModifier, and PriceModifier fields. When updating these fields from the Refresh Item Details window, you have more advanced control over the pricing fields as opposed to the Get Latest Pricing feature. When using Refresh Item details, if you update the Price, the PriceModifier will be cleared just like when you manually enter a price in the line item through the Document Items grid. Same for the Cost and CostModifier. There is an option "[] Display Adjust Price Dialog if cost is changed" which will give you a chance to apply a UnitCost change and also determine the UnitPrice should be affected if the UnitPrice was being calculated by a PriceModifier. Using Refresh Item Details, it simply updates individual specified fields without any regard to the relationships between these Pricing fields. In contrast, the Refresh item w/Latest Pricing behaves differently depending upon if there is a CostModifier and/or PriceModifier. If there is no PriceModifier, then it will update all the pricing fields including the UnitCost, UnitPrice, and UnitList fields, however if there is a Price Modifier, it will update the UnitCost and UnitList and then ask how you want to handle the UnitPrice that is being affected by the change in UnitCost. -New: You can now set Access Rights for more than one Literature file at a time. To do this, From the File->Print window, you need to check the "Administration mode" checkbox, and then place a checkmark next to every Literature file that you want to set the same Access rights for, then right click and choose "Set Access Rights for all checked items". -New: You can now enter an ItemType for a Section Header type line item. This gives you more control over not including this type of line item when calculating Deposit Required summing. It is not recommended to use this to Include the Section Header total, but rather to disclude it from the summing action. -New: The [Request Approval] button on the Print window will now be enabled even if the customer has accepted the quote through QuoteValet. The reason is that after the acceptance, maybe the sales rep needs to change a Purchasing Notes field or similar field and with this button enabled they can now request the approval again. -New: When one or more line items are selected in the Quote WorkBook and you press the down or up arrow key, these selections will be cleared. Also on the Edit->Line Attributes window, pressing ENTER while on any field will perform the same action as clicking on the OK button. -New: When using Tools->Refresh pricing w/Latest if the item pricing method was P or M, and the realtime pricing vendor returned a list price and the list price will now be updated. -Fix: For Autotask users, the Quote Name field on the Create/Update window was allowing more than 100 characters. -Fix: For Autotask users, when creating a new Service item, users would receive an error message. -Fix: If a document was uploaded to QuoteValet, if it has been Accepted, or Accepted By Proxy, or Lost, then when you open the document, QuoteWerks will no longer try to apply field level changes from the QuoteValet document to the QuoteWerks document. This change fixes an issue where a customer accepted a quote on QuoteValet and supplied some field values that initially updated the QuoteWerks quote, but then the user changed them, and the next time they opened the quote, it would apply the values from the accepted QuoteValet quote, overwriting the changes the user had made after the acceptance. -Fix: For HubSpot CRM users, SoldTo and ShipTo Datalinking was not working for contacts that did not have a company associated with them. -Fix: For Zoho CRM users, SoldTo and ShipTo Datalinking was not working for contacts that did not have a company associated with them. -Fix: For salesforce.com users, the Document Number Datalink was not updating the set Opportunity field with the new Document Number when Converting a Quote to an Order. -Fix: For SugarCRM users, some API connections were not reconnecting after a long period of inactivity. QuoteWerks Version 5.7 Build 2.11 (February 11, 2022)-------------------------------------------------------------- -New: AutoRecover has replaced AutoSave. AutoRecover and AutoSave are both ways to prevent loss of your in-progress work due to a variety of reasons including power loss, computer lock ups, network disconnect, SQL server timing out, etc. AutoSave permanently saves any changes you make to your document as you are making the changes. The downside of this is that you can't open up a document and just make some "hypothetical" or "what-if" to see what it looks like because the AutoSave just made those changes permanent. Also, often we want to open up an existing document, make changes and then just save those changes as a new document, but you can't do that with AutoSave either because it just made those changes permanent to the original existing document. AutoRecover is a superior solution. It just quietly saves a temporary backup of your in-progress work. If you choose not to save the changes, or just close the document, it discards those changes. If QuoteWerks quit unexpectedly for the above reasons, then when you re-launch QuoteWerks it will ask you if you want to recover the in-progress changes. Additionally, AutoRecover has been implemented when the feature to "Terminate Running Instance" is used. Previously it would save copies of all quotes that were open on the terminated instance. Now it just creates AutoRecover documents for them all. If AutoRecover sounds amazing, its because it is! Microsoft Word Desktop has had an AutoRecover feature for decades. For Developers, the addition of AutoRecover will require some changes. The AutoRecover document is stored in the DocumentHeaders and DocumentItems tables just like a regular document, however there is a new DocumentHeaders.IsAutoRecoverDocForDocRecGUID field. If this field is populated then this is an AutoRecover document. If querying the database you will want to make sure that you filter these documents out with IsAutoRecoverDocForDocRecGUID=''. In fact, when looking for documents you will aready want to apply the filter of TemplateType=0 AND Superceeded=0 AND IsAutoRecoverDocForDocRecGUID='' so that the query excludes templates, superseded documents and AutoRecover documents. We also renamed UserSettings KeyName='EnableAutoSave' to KeyName='AutoRecoverEnabled' and UserSettings KeyName='AutoSaveInterval' to KeyName='AutoRecoverInterval'.Also, since an AutoRecover can replace the previously saved document, changing the DocumentHeaders.ID value, it is recommended to query a specific document based on the DocumentHeaders.RecGUID. -New: For QuoteValet payment users, Stripe Checkout is now supported! Stripe Checkout differs from our standard Stripe Payments integration in that the customer is redirected to Stripe's own servers during the payment process. This offloading to Stripe ensures compliance across a full range of European regulatory requirements (PSD, PSD2, SCA, 3DS, 3DS2 etc). Setup requires only a few additional steps beyond the standard Stripe configuration (including adding a Webhook entry in Stripe's Dashboard and then pasting the corresponding signing secret into the Payment Setup in QuoteWerks). -New: POItems now have Custom fields that you can populate with information pulled from the quote. They are poiCustomText01, poiCustomText02, poiCustomText03, poiCustomText04, poiCustomText05, poiCustomNumber01, poiCustomNumber02, poiCustomMemo01, and poiCustomDate01. You can map which information gets copied into these fields from the Purchasing tab of the Tools->Options menu. Supports &DH_, &DH_, &APP_, and &SYS_ macros. It does not support &DH_&XXX or &DI_&XXX macros. -New: For Autotask users, Autotask Service Bundles can now be searched from the Product Lookup window. -New: For Autotask users, when searching by Description with Autotask Service Bundles lookup, the Invoice Description will now also be searched. -New: For Autotask users, you can now map the Invoice Description field when doing a Service lookup. -New: For Autotask users, when searching by Description with Autotask Service lookup, the Invoice Description will now also be searched. -New: For Autotask users, users can now see the Inventory on Hand for products on the Product Lookup window. This mimics the behavior when manually creating a Purchase Order for a Vendor / Supplier in QuickBooks Online. Prior to this change, the email address would be blank if the checkbox was not checked. -New: For QuickBooks Online users, when creating a new Item in QuickBooks Online (In addition to just the Purchase Order), the PO Description / Purchasing Description mapping set in the QuickBooks Online Settings window will be used for the Purchasing Description if the mapped field is different than the Description Field mapping. -New: Expansion of PrintTime macros. When printing from a layout or a word document, you can use macros like &DH_SoldToCompany in the IntroductionNotes, ClosingNotes, PurchasingNotes, InternalNotes, and DynamicNotes fields that will be replaced with their actual values in the print output only. Now you can also use the PrintTime macros in the CustomText01-CustomText28 and CustomMemo01-CustomMemo04 fields. -New: For Peachtree users, on the Export to Peachtree window, clicking on the DocDate column will now sort by date. -New: For VendorRFQ users, when clicking on the [Update] button on the Product Sourcing Panel when a VendorRFQ vendor is selected, you will now be prompted if you want to just update the line item with the current price from the selected RFQ vendor, or if you want to do that and also award the vendor the bid which closes out the bidding for all the other RFQ vendors. -New: In the Settings Manager, you can now highlight and copy text from the Section Name and Key Name text boxes when editing/viewing a setting. All the text boxes are now wider as well. -Misc: On the Tools->Options menu, renamed the "Synchronization" tab to "Sync". -Misc: The .lt (layout new template) files will now always be installed and overwritten if exist. -Misc: The option for "Check for in-use documents" is no longer an option, it is always enabled. -Misc: Unused fields from DocumentHeaders have been removed: Region, RefuseSync, Result, ExpectedCloseDate, CompletionDate, InUseBy, MiscLinkID, ShipDate, AdditionalAddress, Version. -Misc: Activated beta testing support for GoldMine 2022.1 -Misc: For QBO users, Added "VendorAndPurchasesPrefs.PurchaseOrderEnabled" and "VendorAndPurchasesPrefs.UseCustomTxnNumbers" to the QuickBooks Online Info on the QuickBooks Online Settings Window in QuoteWerks. Note: If VendorAndPurchasesPrefs.UseCustomTxnNumbers is TRUE and a Purchase Order Number is not specified in QuoteWerks when creating the PO in QuickBooks Online, the PO Number in QuickBooks Online will be blank. It is recommended to turn this setting off in QuickBooks Online to avoid Purchase Orders in QuickBooks Online without PO numbers. -Fix: On the Purchasing Window, when selecting more than one item from the same document would receive an error that there was more than one InUse Document record. -Fix: For Zoho CRM users, if more than 2 decimals were used for the Unit Cost or Unit Price fields in QuoteWerks, Zoho CRM would error out when attempting to create the quote line item. -Fix: For VendorRFQ users, it was allowing you to create an RFQ item for an item that did not have a ManufacturerPartNumber. -Fix: Placing an online order with D & H, when you click Verify current P& A it crashes QuoteWerks. This is due to a page count and Line item count issue in ConnectWise Manage (the ConnectWise Line Item issue documented in ConnectWise tickets 14460914 and 13694355). QuoteWerks development is using a workaround to enable Purchase Orders to be sent from QuoteWerks to ConnectWise Manage. This workaround will work for ConnectWise Manage 2021.3 users and higher. -Fix: For Google Contacts users, Google discontinued support for the Google Contacts API, the integration needed to be rewritten to use their new People API. The new People API only allows 30 search results to be returned unlike the previous API. -Fix: For Google Contact users, the fax extension was not being shown in the Contact Lookup grid after completing a search. -Fix: For QuickBooks Online South African (ZA) users, the tax options when creating a Purchase Order were ignored. -Fix: For Amazon Business users, when placing an Online order with Amazon Business with the Vendor of 'Amazon Business', the Amazon PO Number on the Online Order form would not be visible. The taxable status can be fixed as taxable, not-taxable, or calculated based on if any group member is taxable or not. With the last option, if any group member is taxable, the group header will be taxable. If no group members are taxable, the group header will not be taxable. The integration with Amazon and Amazon Business does not allow for this functionality and no results would be returned the source was selected. Amazon will not be selectable for as a source for the Multiple Product Database Search. -Fix: Under File-Import menu, When importing an older XML file from our competitor data conversion utility would receive error Run-time error '91': Object variable or With block variable not set. QuoteWerks Version 5.7 Build 1.04 (December 1, 2021)-------------------------------------------------------------- -Fix: When creating a Vendor RFQ in a country with non USA date format would receive error about datetime data type. The Payments table is auto-joined with the DocumentHeaders table. All Management Reports have the ability to Export the report data to text file output, so now all this data can be easily exported and then imported into any other system. -New: New VendorRFQ product release, including integration with QuoteWerks. VendorRFQ enables customers to communicate with their vendors, discussing and negotiating pricing and details for goods and services, collecting and organizing this information from one or all of their vendors. Your purchasing team will be able to compare and find the lowest prices to purchase available specific goods and services, while knowing at any given time which vendors have received the request for quote, and which have responded. All purchasing and procurement information is available in a centralized location for your team. Under the Utilities->Vendor maintenance menu you will want to setup your vendors, and make sure to enter your account number, the vendor sales rep name, email address, and phone. From the Quote Workbook, simply select an item and click on the VendorRFQ action button to create an RFQ and invite vendors. You can also do this from the Purchasing window. VendorRFQ requires the Corporate Edition of QuoteWerks, a SQL backend (either QuoteWerks DB Hosting subscription, or a SQL database that vendorrfq.com server can access), and a VendorRFQ subscription. VendorRFQ is only supported in master installations, it is not supported in Remote Site or Remote PC installations. The VendorRFQ integration is also supported in the Quote Workbook in QuoteWerks Web. A Misc Access right of "CannotUseVendorRFQLicense" is implemented to control the use of licenses per user. Under the Utilities->View Logs menu, in the Event log, events for "Licensing.VendorRFQLicenseCountExceeded" will be recorded. -New: Product Sourcing Panel. What used to be the "Etilize panel" now will show product sourcing information even if you do not have an Etilize subscription, and specifically will display any Vendor RFQs for the selected item and also will show any product data source matches if that option has been setup under the Misc tab of the Tools->Options menu. There is now a [Refresh] button, and a new orange indicator that is displayed next to the vendor that is currently the vendor for the line item in the quote. -New: For Maximizer CRM users, Maximizer CRM 2021 R3 is now supported! -New: For Product Content Subscribers, added support for Amazon Business pricing. When credentials are setup, searching for products in the Product Lookup Amazon source will return products using the Amazon Business API rather than the Amazon PAPI (Product API) which has the benefit of returning Amazon Business pricing based on your Account versus generic Amazon pricing. -New: Tech Data France Real-time Pricing & Availability is now supported! -New: For ConnectWise Manage users, when writing Recurring Forecast Lines or Products to the ConnectWise Opportunity, if the Start and End Dates are not specified, there is now a setup option to default the dates to be "one month" or "one year" from the Opportunity Close Date. The previous behavior would set the recurring end date to be one year from the Opportunity Close Date. This option is useful because ConnectWise Manage takes the value of the contract (ie 12 months * price) when setting the value of the opportunity line item which inflates the value of the opportunity at a glance. -New: For Zoho CRM users, there is now an option to create quotes in Zoho CRM that are associated with the Zoho CRM Deal. These Quotes are populated with line item detail from the QuoteWerks quote. Line Item detail in Zoho Quotes, is only available in the Professional, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions of Zoho CRM. -New: For Zoho CRM users, bi-directional Data Linking is now supported for Zoho CRM Quote Headers. Field information can be copied from QuoteWerks into the Zoho CRM Quote Item and then fields can also be copied from the Zoho CRM Quote Item into QuoteWerks. This happens when QuoteWerks creates or updates an Zoho CRM Quote. If you double click on the left column header, you will be prompted if you want to copy the mapped pairs to the clipboard. If you double click on the right column header, you will be prompted if you want to copy all of the available mappings to the clipboard. Copying the available mappings to the clipboard is helpful, because you can use this data to import into F2 Lookup values including the ItemType in QuoteWerks. -New: There is a now a Utilities->Customer / Product Price Profile Matrix Maintenance menu that enables you to setup the Price Modifiers to map to each combination of Customer profile and Product profile. This has existed for many years, but was only accessible when editing a native product. Now it is available through this main menu, so that it is easily accessible for the new Etilize Category mappings to Product Profiles. This is very useful for setting up pricing of products without having to explicitly set a Price Modifier for every single part number. Instead you can assign each part number a product price profile like "HARDWARE", "LABOR", "SERVERS", "WORKSTATIONS", etc. Next you specify the Price Modifier to use for each combination of product profile and customer profile like "GOLDLEVEL", "SILVERLEVEL", etc. -New: For Product Content Subscribers, in addition to being able to setup the Etilize Category mapping to a Price Modifier, you can now map it to a Product Price Profile like "SERVERS". This can then be used with the Customer Profile and Product Profile Matrix which is now accessible through the Utilities->Customer / Product Price Profile Matrix Maintenance menu. -New: On the System tab of the Help->About window, Double clicking on a system information value will display the value and also copy it to the Windows Clipboard. -New: The Payments table now has an ByProxy field and the card ref is no longer encrypted and will look like "VISA x1111 exp 12/21". These changes will be more useful now that you can run management reports on the Payments table. -New: For QuickBooks Online Users in the United States, added support for Automated Sales Tax calculations (PartnerTax) allowing QuickBooks Online to automatically calculate the tax for the jurisdiction rather than specifying a specific tax code. -New: For Autotask users, in the Autotask Setup in QuoteWerks, when on a Mapping Window, lists of the mappings can now be copied to the Windows Clipboard. If you double click on the left column header, you will be prompted if you want to copy the mapped pairs to the clipboard. -New: For salesforce.com users, in the salesforce.com Setup in QuoteWerks, when on a Mapping Window, lists of the mappings can now be copied to the Windows Clipboard.
